Guided Sightseeing Tours
Private and small-group tours with licensed Egyptologist guides: the Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara, Luxor’s temples and more.
Sample itinerary
Temples, tombs and the river between them: five days in Upper Egypt.
The experience
Upper Egypt holds the greatest concentration of ancient monuments anywhere. This sample plan starts in Luxor and follows the Nile south to Aswan, the way travelers have for centuries.
Travel between the two cities by road with temple stops, or aboard a Nile cruise or traditional dahabiya. Either way, you see the river at its most beautiful.
It works on its own, or as the second half of a trip that starts in Cairo.
Highlights
One of the largest religious complexes ever built, and Luxor Temple lit at night.
The Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut and Medinet Habu.
Two remarkably preserved temples on the river between Luxor and Aswan.
Philae, Elephantine Island by felucca, and the colossal temples of Ramesses II.
